I was raised in the small town of Hays, KS, a community on I-70 about halfway between Denver, CO and Kansas City, MO. Following high-school I attended Kansas State University where I earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Graphic Design. This led me to an early career in marketing and communication in the Aerospace Defense industry.

Having grown up with close family friends who owned the mortuary in Hays, I always had a great admiration for funeral service and knew this is something I would want to pursue one day. That opportunity presented itself while living in Denver and I went to work for Horan & McConaty Funeral Service & Cremation where I served families for nearly 10 years. I graduated with an associate’s degree in Mortuary Science from Arapahoe Community College in 2013.

In 2022, funeral service brought me to Albuquerque to oversee the operations of funeral homes from Taos to Socorro and many homes in between. This gave me a great appreciation for the beauty of New Mexico and the deep roots that run through the families of the Land of Enchantment.

Outside of my love for funeral service, my energy is devoted to my two children, Madison and Ethan, my dogs and my Denver Broncos! As a side note, if it hadn’t been a call to funeral service, I think it would have been to the culinary world as I do love to cook!
