Wilma Jean Hall

b. July 19, 1934

Wilma Jean Hall, a longtime Albuquerque resident and retired Veterans Hospital nurse, died on Tuesday, September 6, 2022. She was 88 and died of natural causes. Wilma was born in Springfield, Missouri, on Thursday, July 19, 1934, the only child of John and Faye Hall.

She enjoyed collecting Native American art, jewelry, and Hummel figurines. She loved meeting friends regularly for dinners at restaurants around Albuquerque, playing BINGO, and spirited card games. She was an avid and skilled trout fisher, choosing Corkins Lodge on the Brazos River in northern New Mexico as her favorite hangout. She was a sports fan and kept track of the University of New Mexico's men's and women's basketball teams and its football team. She also enjoyed watching football on Sundays on TV.

Wilma is survived by cousins, Harold Rogers and his wife, Linda of Lampe, Missouri, and Edward Rogers and his wife, Betty of Springfield, Missouri. No local services were scheduled. Burial will take place in Hazelwood Cemetery in Springfield, Missouri. She asked to be buried next to her mother.
