Wilfred Rodney Moore

Wilfred Moore, 62, beloved Husband, Father, Son, & Brother, was called to his eternal resting place on Saturday, October 8, 2022. He entered this world on Thursday, March 17, 1960, in New Orleans, LA, born to Willie and Allegretta Moore. Wilfred married Shelly Kay Werner on June 25, 1995 in Rapid City, SD.
Wilfred served in the Air Force from 1985 - 2011. He started his career at Ellsworth AFB in South Dakota, spent two tours in Okinawa, Japan, was also stationed at Davis-Monthan AFB in Tucson, AZ and retired from Kirtland AFB, in Albuquerque, New Mexico. He was a dedicated airman for almost 26 years. He was a devoted husband and father to his family, and a great friend to many. He and his family had the journey of a lifetime, sharing all the wonderful places and people they met over those years.

He is survived by his wife, Shelly Moore; sons, Randy Moore and Justin Moore; daughter, Olivia Moore; father-in-law, Mark Werner Sr.; mother-in-law, Erla Werner; brother-in-law, Mark Werner and wife, Kim; brother-in-law, Travis Werner and wife, Jennifer; sister-in-law, Nancy Werner-Wolff; sister, Phyllis Phipps; brother, Vincent Moore and wife Cheryl; sister, Julie Dempsey and husband James; and numerous nieces and nephews. Will was preceded in death by his father, mother and brother, Willie, Jr.

Funeral Services are on Saturday, October 29th at 11am MT at Shepherd Lutheran Church in Albuquerque. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 5, 2022 at 10 am MT at Trinity Lutheran Church in Carson, ND, with a full military burial service at the Lark Cemetar, Lark, North Dakota.
