Theresa M. Garcia, 75, died January 29, 2017.
She is survived by her children, Michael T. Garcia, Gary A. Garcia and Margaret A. Davis; grandchildren, Michelle, Benjamin, Katelyn; great-grandsons, Franco and Angelo; and many other family and friends including her ex-husband, Robert Garcia; sisters, Jeanette, Juliette, Elizabeth, Margaret and her brothers; Joseph, Eresmo and Jesse. She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Margaret Baca; brother, Alfredo; grandson, Ryan; and son, William Benjamin.
Theresa received her degree from the University of Santa Fe in Education and was an Elementary Teacher for over 20 years, many of those years at Barcelona Elementary School and Our Lady of the Assumption School. You may have heard her while she was a disc jockey with KABQ in the 1980's. She was also a 20 years survivor of pancreatic cancer.
A Rosary will be recited Tuesday, February 7, 2017, 10:30 a.m. followed by a Memorial Mass, 11:00 a.m. at Our Lady of the Assumption Catholic Church, Lomas and Tennessee. Memorial contributions may be made to Our Lady of the Assumption Catholic Church, 815 Guaymas Place NE, Albuquerque, NM 87108.
