Stephen George Desmond

Stephen Desmond, age 69, beloved father and grandfather, was called to his eternal resting place on Saturday, January 11, 2020. He entered this world on August 26, 1950, in Milton, MA, born to Richard and Ruth Desmond. He was preceded in death by his parents and younger brother, Mark. He is survived by his son, Sean Desmond; daughter-in-law, Kelli; and two grandsons, Connor and Owen.

Stephen lived a full life, residing in numerous states throughout the country, always seeking the next challenge. He studied at Regis University in Denver, Colorado, and went on to excel as a healthcare administrator, eventually retiring in 2008 from Cincinnati Children's Hospital. Stephen enjoyed the game of golf and most college and professional sports, especially the Boston Red Sox and New England Patriots. Aside from his many interests, his greatest joy was seeing his grandsons grow up. He moved to Rio Rancho, NM in 2017 for the sole reason of being close to his grandsons, whom he loved immensely. Despite his many professional accomplishments, he was most proud of his son, Sean, and was generous in his praise for the man, husband, and father he had become. We regret the loss of his physical presence, but vow to continue his memory in our hearts and in the hearts of his beloved grandchildren.

Mass will be held on Friday, January 24, 2020, 10:00 a.m. at Church of the Incarnation Catholic Church in Rio Rancho.
