Stella Ferguson Rogers

Stella Ferguson Rogers was born 27 November 1917 in Townsend, TN to Samuel Wilson Ferguson and Eunice Clark. She died in Albuquerque on 16 June 2017. The first thirteen years of her life were spent in a Lutheran orphanage in Knoxville, and then moved to Cincinnati, OH under the auspices of several foster families. While attending church choir practice she met and fell in love with Ralph, who was to become her husband of seventy-seven years. They were married in June 1940 in Medina, OH after his graduation from the USMA at West Point. Their marriage produced five sons, Stephen, Jeffrey, Christopher, Samuel, and Timothy. Stella was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, beloved by all in her extended family.
She is survived by her husband, Ralph; her sons, Stephen, Christopher, and Timothy of Albuquerque, and Jeffrey of Concord, CA; her grandsons, Joshua, Daniel, and Matthew of Albuquerque; her granddaughters, Sarah of Portland, OR, Shannon of New York, NY, and Summer of El Cerrito, CA; great-granddaughters, Marielena and Emilia of Albuquerque; and great-grandson, Kai of El Cerrito, CA.
Funeral Service will be Wednesday, June 21, 2017, 6:00 p.m. at FRENCH – University. Graveside Service will be Thursday, June 22, 2017, 1:30 p.m. at Santa Fe National Cemetery.
