Shirley Vigil Quintana

Shirley Vigil Quintana, beloved wife and mother, passed away on October 3, 2016 in Albuquerque, NM at the age of 82. She was born in Trinidad, CO and graduated from Trinidad High School as Salutatorian of the Class of 1951. In 1955, Mrs. Quintana earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Education from the University of New Mexico and retired after many years teaching at Central New Mexico Community College, formerly T-VI.
She is survived by her sons, Joseph O., Raymond I., Stanley V. and wife Lisa, all of Albuquerque, NM; daughter, Terese Hibbert and husband Eric of Livermore, CA; her grandchildren, Toby Sachs-Quintana of San Francisco, CA, and Brynn, Cora, and Sophia Quintana of Albuquerque, NM; sister-in-law, Emma Gomez of Albuquerque, NM; brother-in-law, Leo Hadad of Phoenix, AZ; and several cherished nephews and nieces. Mrs. Quintana was preceded in death by her husband, Joe V. Quintana of Albuquerque, NM; and parents, Onesimo and Sylvia Vigil of Trinidad, CO.
Rosary will be recited Friday, October 14, 2016 at 8:00 a.m. at Our Lady of the Annunciation Church, 2621 Vermont NE. Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 8:30 a.m. Interment will take place at the Santa Fe National Cemetery.
