Samuel David Cata, age 54, passed away Friday, October 29th, 2021. Sam was born and raised in Albuquerque, he graduated from Rio Grande High School, met his wife, and moved to Oklahoma.
He was known for his love of the outdoors and hunting. He enjoyed working on ranches in Oklahoma and caring for the animals he loved. His favorite dog Dottie always close at his heels. During his short life he overcame leukemia and other medical challenges. Sam was a fighter until the end. He will be greatly missed.
Sam is survived by his parents, Alfred H. Cata and Marlowe J. Cata; his two sons, Cory J. Cata and Brandon T. Cata; grandchildren, Isabelle Cata, and Otto Cata. He is also survived by his sister, Jennifer Haley. He leaves behind many cherished uncles, aunts, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his loving grandparents, Alfred Cata, Martel and Maxine Fisher, Robert J. and Higinia Gore, and his aunt, Martha.
A Memorial Service will be held Saturday December 4th, 2021, at 11:00 a.m. at FRENCH - Westside.
There will also be a link to live stream the services for friends and family who are unable to attend in person.
