Richard L. "Doc" Wallace, age 89, dedicated husband and family man, passed away August 21, 2016. Doc was known for his charitable work throughout his life with the Veterans, Boy Scouts, Senior Olympics, Philmont Training Center and Masonic charities. He was a member of the Sons of the American Revolution and also enjoyed being a lifeguard. Doc retired from the military after serving 20 plus years.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Shirley Wallace; his brothers, Bob Wallace, Tom Wallace, Bill Wallace and Don Wallace; his sons, Larry Wallace, Paul Wallace, Daniel Wallace; and his daughters, Donna Wallace and Mariann Wallace.
Interment will take place Tuesday, August 30, 2016, 12:45 p.m., at Santa Fe National Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to a charity representing one of Doc's passions: Veterans, the Boy Scouts, or Senior Olympics.
