Richard Roland Prairie

Richard R. Prairie passed away on Tuesday, September 27, 2022, due to complications from Parkinson's disease. He was born in Minneapolis, Minnesota, on Wednesday, July 26, l933.

He will be dearly missed.

Richard graduated from the University of Minnesota and then attended North Carolina State College, receiving MS and Ph.D. degrees in Statistics. He retired from Sandia Laboratories after 34 years of service. After retirement, he volunteered his time at Meals on Wheels.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Margaret Prairie-Savage, Roland Prairie, and son Michael. He is survived by his children, Jennifer (David Outka), Steve (Emma); daughter-in-law, Kim Prairie Tag (Kyle); six grandchildren; his sister Sue O'Niell; and good friend, Bill Zimmer.

Services will not be held at the request of the deceased.
