Raymond Oscar Wiswell

Ray Wiswell passed away Saturday, August 20, 2016 at the age of 74. Ray was born in Kansas City, MO September 23, 1941. He spent his childhood on a farm in Grandview, MO with his mother and his sister, Margaret Ann (Maggi), where they learned to ride horses and participate in competitions at the American Royal. The two won many awards.
Ray went to UTEP (Texas Western College in El Paso), where he met and married his beloved wife, Charlane. The two were married for more than 50 years. Ray was in the shoe business for 46 years before retiring in 2008.
He is survived by his wife, Charlane; daughter, Kristen Driscoll and her husband, Dan of Yardley, PA; grandchildren, Andrew, Mary Margaret (Maggi) and Lucy; his sister, Margaret Kitts and her husband, Bob, of Albuquerque, NM; sister-in-law, Carole Flaiz and husband, Norman, and niece, Lori, of El Paso, TX.
Ray's greatest joys were his wife, daughter, three grandchildren and his dog, Sweetie. He loved going to the Church of the Incarnation, taking road trips with his wife and dog, playing cards with friends and fishing.
He will be remembered as a good man with a giving and generous heart and for his love and devotion to the Lord and animals.
A Mass will be celebrated Thursday, August 25, 2016 at 9:00 a.m. at Church of the Incarnation, 2309 Monterrey Road NE Rio Rancho, NM.
