Ora Lucille Machacek Yaroshek, age 98, passed away peacefully on Monday, October 10, at North Ridge Special Care Center in Albuquerque.
A native and longtime resident of Austin, Minnesota, Ora and her husband, Elmer Yaroshek, were career employees at George Hormel Corporation; and both, being part of "The Greatest Generation," served as U.S. Marines during World War II. They were married for 54 years before Elmer passed away in 2002. Ora moved to New Mexico in 2012 to be with family.
Ora's life will be honored at a special memorial service with military honor guard on Memorial Day weekend 2017 in Minnesota, and her ashes will be placed next to those of her husband.
