Norma Jean Clark, beloved wife, mother, grandmother of four grandsons, and eleven great-grandsons, passed away unexpectedly on November 23, 2017, with her loving husband by her side. She was born on August 30, 1937, in Berea, Kentucky to Maude and Mike Parker. She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Edward Clark; two children, Mike and his wife, Marie, and Penny Holly, and her husband, Wayne; grandsons, Jason Spencer and wife, Andrea, Eddie Clark, and wife, Emily, Cody Clark, and wife, Katie, and Justin Spencer, and wife, Jennifer; eleven great-grandsons; two sisters, Florine Laird and Louise Flores, and many extended family members. Norma Jean was preceded in death by her parents.
She was the middle daughter of three children and grew up in Kentucky until her family moved to New Mexico in 1944. She attended Valley High School and married her high school sweetheart in 1955. Norma Jean was an avid outdoors woman who loved to camp, hunt, horseback ride and trap with her husband all over New Mexico. She loved to read and was known to have a book in each room, her car, and her purse. She also loved working in her yard and gardening. Norma Jean had a tender, loving, caring and compassionate heart and was always willing to help others in their time of need. She will be greatly missed and forever in our hearts until we meet her again in heaven.
Visitation will be on Sunday, December 3, 2017 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at FRENCH - University. Funeral Service will be Monday, December 4, 2017, 11:00 a.m. at Chester T. French Memorial Mausoleum Chapel, 924 Menaul Blvd. NE. Cryptside Service will follow at Sunset Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Bob Rodriguez, Wayne Holly, Mike Clark, Jason Spencer, Cody Clark and Justin Spencer.
