Nancy Shea, 76, beloved wife, was called to her eternal resting place on January 27, 2017. She entered this world on September 26, 1940 in Buffalo, NY, born to Eugene and Wanda Anne Miller. Nancy was predeceased by her parents. She is survived by her husband, George, a retired teacher at Rio Grande High and La Cueva High schools. Nancy also leaves behind a sister, Susan of Vermont; a nephew, Christopher Burke of New Hampshire; and on her husband's side she leaves behind brothers-in-law, John A. Shea MD of Marblehead, MA, Gerald Shea of Paris, France and Patrick Shea of Warwick, RI. Nancy is also survived by her nieces, Kristen King and her husband, Joseph of Marblehead, MA and Kimberly Berg of Marion, MA and her husband, Christopher; and numerous other nieces and nephews.
Nancy graduated from Orchard Park High School in Buffalo, NY in 1958 and the University of Colorado in Boulder in 1962. She was an accomplished pilot and flight instructor, an exquisite cook and hostess and an avid reader. Prior to moving to Albuquerque, she and her husband lived in Darien, CT and Salem, MA. While residing in Albuquerque, she served as president of the Chamber Orchestra of Albuquerque and on the board of Ballet West.
Memorial Services will be held Monday, February 6, 2017, 3:00 p.m., at FRENCH - Wyoming.
