Mary E. Guthrie

Mary rejoined her love, Jim, in heaven during the early hours of August 19, 2021. Living without him for nearly four months had her beside herself, finally released from the bondage of this world, she is free again with the Lord. A caring woman who could always be found playing with the children instead of chatting with the adults. She had a loving and free spirit. Picture her standing on one leg while waving underneath the other saying: "Va-va-va-voom, glad you got to see me!" Indeed a treasure to have seen.

Preceded in death by parents, David and Florence Reaves; brother, Charles Reaves (Yvonne); and husband, James Lewis Guthrie.

Survived by brother, Bob Reaves (Claudette) and sister, Betty Davis (Allen); children, James Philip Guthrie (Missy) and David Guthrie (Kathleen); grandchildren, Sean Guthrie (Jennifer), Kayla Scheer (Sidney), and Austyn Guthrie; and great-grandchildren, Connor & Ryan Guthrie and Andylev & Aria Scheer.

Services will be held on September 10, 2021 at Netherwood Park Church of Christ at 1 p.m.
