Mary Evelyn Chavez

Mary Evelyn Chavez, 77, went to be with our Lord on Saturday, November 27, 2022, in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Evelyn was preceded in death by her loving husband of 58 years, Jimmy "Santiago" Chavez; father, Policapio Martinez; mother, Hiliary Lopez Martinez; and granddaughter, Desiree Chavez. Evelyn is survived by her sons, Joseph Chavez (Michelle), Mitchell Chavez, and Keith Sullins; daughters, Carol Gutierrez (Victor), Annette Berry (Samuel), and Chastity Espinoza (Steven); grandchildren, Angel Hawkins (Don), Joe Chavez, Jerry Ortega (Antoinette Hernendez), Julian Gutierrez (Liz Murufo), Amber Knapp, Brianna Berry, and Chastity Berry; great-grandchildren, Xavion Hawkins, Izaiah Ortega, Nevaiah Ortega, and Ariana Gutierrez; sister, Georgia Montoya (Joe); brother-in-law, Bonaficio Lucero; and cousins, Williams, Lucero, Martinez, and Lopez's (all family).

Evelyn enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchild, Xavion. She loved travelling Europe and the US with her daughter and son-in-law. She treasured her days of eating out with her daughter, Annette at Mustang Grill. Mary loved her children dearly.

She will never be forgotten and will be missed dearly.
