Marcella Louise Gutierrez-Gilchrist

Marcella Louise Gutierrez Gilchrist, beloved sister, entered into eternal peace on November 24, 2016. Marcella was born in Albuquerque, NM, living most recently in Bosque Farms, NM, and was predeceased by parents, Peter A. and Gertrude Montoya Gutierrez; as well as infant brother, Robert Gutierrez. She is survived by her sisters, Annette Gutierrez Turk, Albuquerque, NM and Clare Gutierrez O'Malley of Douglasville, GA.
Marcella was a proud alumnus of St. Mary's High School, then graduated from the University of New Mexico, completing her internship in dietary science at the University of California in Berkeley; later obtaining a Masters of Business Administration from the University of Santa Clara in 1974. Her professional career was spent in California, followed by acting as a Personas Mayores at the National Hispanic Cultural Center Foundation in Albuquerque, concentrating on service in the Genealogy Library.
A Memorial Rosary will be recited on Tuesday, December 6, 2016 at 9:00 a.m. at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 619 Copper Ave., NW, Albuquerque to be followed by Mass of the Resurrection at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Our Lady of Guadalupe Niches and Mausoleum at Mount Calvary Cemetery, 1900 Edith Blvd., NE. A special thank you is extended to her longtime caregiver, MariCruz Serna, to whom the family extends heartfelt gratitude.
