Macen Clay Holderman

Macen Holderman, 17, went home to be with our Lord and Savior Tuesday, September 27, 2016. Macen was born in Somerset, Kentucky to Clay and Shawna Bieker Holderman. He is survived by his parents; three siblings, his twin brother, Jack Holderman, J. Cole Holderman and Tessa Holderman; grandparents, W. Cole Holderman, Sharon Newberg, Dr. William and Carolyn Bieker; great-grandmother, Vashti Hooten Irvin McMichael, and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins who loved him dearly. Macen is preceded in death by his grandmother, Carol Irvin Holderman and his grandfather, Rodney B. Newberg. Macen passed away peacefully, surrounded by family, after a courageous two-and-a-half-year battle with osteosarcoma.
Macen was a student of Rio Rancho High School and a member of the Ram band. He was looking forward to starting at CNM College. Macen loved his girlfriend, Emily Meyer, Anime, and being with his church friends and family.
A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, October 1, 2016 at 3:16 p.m. at Anchor Point Church, 6751 Pasilla Road NE Rio Rancho, NM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in honor of Macen to the Presbyterian Health Care Foundation to benefit the Children's Cancer Center, www.phs.org/give or the Sid Strong Foundation www.sidstrongfound.org.
