Louis Bushey

Louis Bushey was born in Hackensack, New Jersey on February 6th 1946 to Jessie and Tony Bushy. He passed away October 17, 2016 in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Louis was raised in an Italian Catholic family. He had six sisters and three brothers, one of which is still living in Florida. Louis lived with his parents up until the age of five and then, due to their passing, he lived with several different family members but mostly with his sister, Rachel. He lived in group homes for a while then eventually relocated to New Mexico with one of his sisters. He then resided in family living with the "Quintana" family until they were unable to take care of him. He was a valued family member there who was embraced by the family. He then moved to a group home with Expressions Unlimited where he has been truly treated like family. During his time with Expressions, Louis formed friendships and strong relationships with both staff and individuals in service. He also got the opportunity to reconnect with his family during his time at Expressions. He went to Share Your Care's day program where he had several friendships and was a popular guy. People who know Louis best describe him as a kind, friendly, and warm person. He will be greatly missed and we wish him a peaceful journey.
