Lawrence R. "Larry" Felicetti, 96, died Wednesday, October 4, 2017.
He is survived by his sons, Gary Felicetti and wife, Billie and Terry Felicetti and wife, Chris; grandchildren, Lee and wife, Emily, Justin, Brad, Lindsey, Katie and Blair; great-grandson, Jameson; and many other family and friends. Larry was preceded in death by his wife of 60 years, Jerry, his sister, Mary; and his brother, Pat.
Larry was born in Pittsburgh, PA, graduated from high school there and was voted most valuable player in football and was class president. He was the first player from his high school to be selected All Pennsylvania in football. He also excelled in basketball (captain) and track . He went to the University of New Mexico on a football scholarship beginning in 1940. Mr. Felicetti then served our country beginning in 1943 in the United States Army during WWII and was an interpreter. After his honorable discharge he completed his eligibility with UNM starring at offensive guard. He was in the real estate business until his retirement. He and his wife Jerry enjoyed traveling the world together.
Private Graveside Service will be at Santa Fe National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Albuquerque Humane Society, 615 Virginia St SE, Albuquerque, NM 87108 .
