It is with heavy hearts to announce the passing of Dr. Larry D. Walters. "Dr. Larry" as he will forever be known, was born March 1940 in Aurora, Missouri. He passed peacefully on Monday, October 25, 2021, surrounded by family and loved ones.
He was an Air Force Veteran and proudly served as an MP for Manzano AFB guarding America's nuclear weaponry. He met his sweetheart Darlene, while learning how to ball room dance with Fishback Studio. They married in December 1962 and had a beautiful 58-year marriage. After the military Dr. Larry Graduated from Cleveland Chiropractic College in 1969. He was licensed to practice in Missouri, Kansas, New Mexico, and Arizona and held degrees in Acupuncture, Physical Therapy and Physiotherapy and Clinical Nutrition. He was an avid KC Chiefs fan and very proud to treat many of Chiefs players in late 1970's.
Larry is survived by his wife, Darlene; his four children, Craig, Tami, Brad, and Tiffany. Their spouses Roxana, Steven, Kelly, and Collin and nine of the most beloved grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
A Memorial Service celebrating his life will be held on Sunday, November 28, 2021, at 1:00 p.m., FRENCH - Westside.
He will be laid to rest on Monday, November 29, 2021, at 9:45 a.m. at Santa Fe National Cemetery in Santa Fe, NM.
In lieu of flowers, a donation to wounded warriors is preferred.
