It is with deep sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our most beloved Kelley Ann Jorgensen (Steiger), 44, on Wednesday, July 17, 2019 at her home in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
Kelley was born in Dearborn, Michigan on Thursday, September 26, 1974 to John “Mike” Steiger and Jeannie (Weaver). She moved with her family to New Mexico in 1984. Upon graduation from high school, she worked in the medical billing business. Her bright smile, ’electric’ blue eyes, generous and loving spirit made it easy for anyone to become fast friends for life. Kelley was a kind and loving soul, so empathetic and understanding to anyone she spoke to – a kind-hearted person with a beautiful and strong heart. A brilliant mind as well, she was a wiz at card and word games, could put together a 3,000 piece jigsaw puzzle in no time, enjoyed watching movies, especially scary movies with her daughter, and loved listening to all types of music, particularly rock.
Kelley is survived by two beautiful daughters of whom she was always proud: Caroline Brady of Texas and Madison Steiger of Albuquerque. Also surviving is her mother, Jeannie and step-father, William Boyle; and brother, Ian (Melissa) Boyle of Texas. Her surviving extended Michigan family include her step-mother, Carol; great uncle, Dan (Sharon) Steiger, Sue Steiger, Pat (Ralph) Tenaglia; and many cousins. She is preceded in death by her father, Mike of Michigan; her grandmother, Geraldine Stinson of Albuquerque; both of whom passed away in June; and her uncle, Bob Steiger of Michigan.
A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, July 27, 2019, 2:00 p.m. at 12214 Eric Court NE, Albuquerque, the home of Tom Turkle. The family is accepting donations to offset funeral expenses.
