Kathy McDaniel, 61, beloved spouse, daughter, sister, aunt, stepmother, and grandmother, was called to her eternal resting place on Saturday, January 28, 2023. She entered this world on March 31, 1961, in Albuquerque, NM, born to Lowell and Darlene (Sealey) Evans. She is survived by her spouse, J.R. McDaniel; mother, Darlene Evans; brother, Douglas Evans; sister-in-law, Lynette Evans; nephews, Deric (Ashlee) and Kyle Evans; stepson, Jerren Bermudez; stepdaughter, Tema Bermudez; grandchildren, Lexsy, Layla, Luca, and Lacie Bermudez; sister-in-law, Jackie Henry-McDaniel; and brother-in-law, Dara McDaniel. After graduating from Eldorado High School, Kathy started a 35-year career in banking, starting with Albuquerque National Bank and finishing with Bank of America. Kathy also was a member of the Masonic Job's Daughters and served a term as Honored Queen.

Kathy and J.R. (Travel Buddies) were blessed to be able to spend time together with family and friends, traveling to Cancun and Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. Other travel adventures included a love for cruising through the Southern, Eastern, and Western Caribbean, through the Panama Canal, and cruising Hawaii. Annual visits to Las Vegas, Nevada, road trips in the convertible T-Bird, and lots of staycations were also common.

After a small graveside gathering for family, a Celebration of Life for Kathy's family and friends will take place. In the coming months, more details will be forthcoming regarding the date, time, and place.
