John R. "Bob" Williams

John R. "Bob" Williams, 72, a resident of Truth of Consequences, member of the Muscogee Creek Nation, died in August 2016. He is survived by his daughter, Dawn Williams; grandchildren, James, John and Kirsten; sister, Beverly Williams Wilkins; numerous nieces and nephews; preceded in death by his parents, John P. Williams and Owallah "Billie" Williams of Albuquerque. He worked for Indian Health Services giving over 25 years of Federal Service. Mr. Williams was a member of the Loyal Order of Moose, Lodge 2050, Legion # 134; The American Legion, Post 69; Fraternal Order of Eagles, Local 735; Sierra County Sheriff's Posse. Graduated from Sandia High School, class of 62', captain of the track team, made all state & broke many track records; attended N.M. State University. Bob was a loving father, son, grandfather, brother and uncle and will deeply missed by all who knew him. Services will be held Saturday, November 19, 2016, 10:00 a.m., at FRENCH-University. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park, 924 Menaul Blvd. NE.
