John Leo (Jr) Lowder

John Leo Lowder Jr., age 86, a beloved husband, father, and patriot was called to his eternal reward on May 1, 2018.

He was born in Traer, Iowa on March 23, 1932.

He is survived by his devoted wife of 59 years, Traude; his daughter, Karen Nance and husband, Britt; his brothers, Tom and wife, Sondra, Phil and wife, Burnita; his sister-in-law, Ingrid Vedder and her beloved children, Mattias and Caroline. He also leaves behind many cherished extended family, friends, and his dog, Sandy.

He served our Nation proudly in the Navy and the Air Force from 1950 to 1970. He was a Mason, a Shriner, a gifted story teller with a strong sense of Civic Duty and a commitment to helping others.

A Memorial Service will be held Wednesday, May 9, 2018, 11:00 a.m. in the FRENCH – Lomas Chapel.  A Graveside Service will follow at 2:15 p.m. at Santa Fe National Cemetery.
