Joe Armenta

Joe Armenta, a resident of Tijeras, NM, went home to be with the Lord on November 9, 2021

He is survived by his 5 children and their spouses. Geraldine Gutierrez and husband Morris, Cindy Armenta, Irene Armenta, Steve Armenta, Deborah Armenta, and husband Tom.  Grandchildren, Shuri Romero and husband Jonathan, Roberta Maestas and husband Ric, Carol Armenta, Jonathan Ortiz and wife Jordan, Casandra Van Diemen, and husband Randy, Estephan Armenta and partner Drew. Great grandchildren, Mia Maestas, Emma Maestas, Angelique Maestas, Ric Maestas, Trevor Romero, Nick Romero, Jacob Romero, Caley Romero, Nikko Ortiz, Rylee Ortiz, Kelsie Van Diemen, Jace Van Diemen.

Brothers, Bobby Armenta and wife Vivian, Jake Armenta, Matt Armenta and wife Theresa, sister Pauline Torres and husband Gil. Many nieces, nephews, and dear friends.

He is preceded in death by his wife Beatrice Armenta, Grandson Isidro Ortiz, Parents Jacobo and Margarita Armenta. Sisters, Ethel Sandoval, Yolanda Merghing, Kathryn Palmer and husband John, Kathleen Cervantes, and husband Ralph. Brothers, Clarence Armenta, Daryl Armenta, and sister -in- law Daisy Armenta.

He was a parishioner at St John Xxiii Catholic Church. His love for family, friends and music filled his heart and made his life complete. He was very much loved by his children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, brothers, sister, nieces, nephews, and friends. His legacy was great and will live in the hearts of all that he touched.

Rosary will be recited by Stan Benavides on Friday, November 19, 2021, 11:00 a.m. at John Xxiii Catholic Church, 4831 Tramway Ridge Drive NE Albuquerque, NM 87111. Mass to follow at 12:00 p.m. celebrated by Father Tai.

Interment will take place at the Santa Clara Mission Cemetery in Santa Clara, California on December 3, 2021
