Joan LaVern (Bratschie) Nocera

Joan Nocera, 82, of Albuquerque, NM, was called home to Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior on July 2, 2019. She was born in New Castle, PA November 8, 1936 to the late Lester and Edith Bratschie. Joan graduated from New Castle High School in 1955. She married her beloved high school sweetheart, the late Donald Nocera, on January 7, 1956. Joan leaves behind her only child Tyrone (wife Andrea); her grandchildren Jennifer, Natasha and Dominic (wife Melissa); great grandchildren Brianna, Donovan, Tatiana, Makayla, Jeremiah and Elijah; and brothers Gary Bratschie (wife Linda) and Ken Bratschie (wife Shannon). Her brother William Bratschie predeceased her in death.

Joan was a fun loving woman. She loved to cook and everyone who knew her loved her cooking. She was an avid Country Western dancer and especially loved line dancing. In their younger days Donald and Joan would go camping, boating and loved to water ski. Joan will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

A visitation will be held Monday July 8th from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at FRENCH Westside 9300 Golf Course Rd. NW Albuquerque, New Mexico 87114.
