Jimmie Dunbar Atkins Sr

Jimmie Dunbar Atkins Sr, 83, beloved father, grandfather and friend was called to his eternal resting place on January 31, 2021. He entered this world on May 29, 1937 in South Fulton, TN, born to Lovejoy and Clemmie Atkins. He is survived by his daughters, Tina Atkins, Shelia Atkins, Eleanore Griego, Rachael Jaramillo, and Reyes Pino; and son, Jimmie Atkins Jr.  He is survived by 17 grandkids; 31 great grandkids; and many great-great-grandkids. He served in the United States Navy on active duty from June 7, 1955 to June 15, 1979. He was honorably retired from the USN on March 1, 1985. A viewing will be held on Monday, February 22, 2021 from 1:00 p.m.- 5:00 p.m. at FRENCH – Lomas. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, February 23, 2021, 9:00 a.m. at Risen Savior Catholic Church with burial to follow at Santa Fe National Cemetery.
