Evelia (Cobos) Yusuf

Our beautiful, brilliant Evelia Cobos Yusuf passed away on Sunday December 25, 2022, Christmas Day. Her vibrant, caring, and passionate personality will stay with all who were lucky enough to meet her. She was a former high school teacher and piano instructor as well as a published author.
Evelia was preceded in death by her parents, Dr. Ruben Cobos and Rita Sanchez Minkin, and is survived by her sons, Christopher Salaz, David Salaz (Kellee), Sean Salaz (Lisa); her sister, Helene Cobos Chenier (Marc); her brother, Irving Cobos, and many grandchildren.

A garden party celebration of Evelia's fascinating life will be held this spring for all those she touched throughout her life.

In memory of her life, please donate in Evelia's name to St. Francis Episcopal Church in Rio Rancho, NM. She'd also have wanted us to sing a song. Or to dance.
