Emma A. De La O, age 85, friend, aunt and great-aunt passed away Monday, November 14, 2016. Emma was a resident of Ponderosa, NM. She was born in Cuba, NM, the last of Eduardo and Genara De La O's eight children.
Emma is survived by her gracious care givers, Gloria and Michael Martinez; her young "buddy" Michael Rey Martinez; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Emma was a faithful member of Santo Toribio Parish Church in Ponderosa, NM.
Rosary will be recited Saturday, December 3, 2016, 10:00 a.m., at Santo Toribio Church on Highway 290 in Ponderosa, NM. A Funeral Mass will follow at 11:00 a.m. As per her wishes, private burial of her remains will take place in Cuba, NM where she will be laid to rest alongside her family surrounded by our sacred mountains where she was born in 1931.
