Elias Walter Gallegos Sr., age 75, went home on Sunday, December 25, 2016. Elias was a loving father and grandfather and was a devoted member of Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Catholic Church.
He retired from General Electric after 36 years as a machinist and was also a proud Navy veteran. He is preceded in death by his parents, Joe and Dora Gallegos. He is survived by his sisters, Pam, Judy, and Priscilla; brothers, Robert, Ronnie, Floyd and Johnny; children, Renee, Luis, Elias Jr. and wife, Trini, Genevieve, Cielos and husband, Dominic; and grandchildren, Megan, Melissa, Elijah, Urijah, Andres, Xavier, Diego; and many more grandchildren.
A Visitation will be held on Monday, January 2, 2017, 7:00 p.m. with the Rosary to be recited at 8:00 p.m. at FRENCH - Lomas. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, January 3, 2017, 9:00 a.m. at Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Catholic Church, 5415 Fortuna Rd NW, Albuquerque, NM 87105 with a Reception to follow. Interment will take place at Santa Fe National Cemetery.
