Earl Allen Tonkinson

Earl Tonkinson passed away on November 24th at the age of 90, after a long battle with kidney cancer. Just like he dealt with all experiences in life, Earl managed his illness with strength and grace. On his final day he was surrounded by his wife and family.

Earl is survived by: His wife Anita Tonkinson, son John Tonkinson, daughter Amy Creamer, son Tim Tonkinson (Patty), sister Yvonne Keller, grandchildren John Michael and Steven Daniel Tonkinson, Kristen and Kayla Creamer, Shea Tonkinson, and many nieces and nephews. Earl is preceded by his grandson, Jacob Tonkinson.

Earl was born in Farmington NM to George and Saloma on December 3, 1930. He has been married to his wife, Anita, for over 65 years. He was a veteran of the Korean conflict and served in the Navy. He owned his own business, Albuquerque Weatherstrip Company, for over 50 years with his son Tim. He loved gardening, pigeon racing, playing the slots, going to the horse races, hunting, fishing, and drinking his Bud Light.

A private burial service will be held.
