Our beloved Dottie went to be with the Lord and Savior on Friday, November 18, 2016. Dottie began her journey in 1937 in Fort Worth, TX. She moved to Albuquerque in 1942 and graduated from Highland High School in 1955. After high school she worked for the FBI in Albuquerque and Minneapolis. Dottie joined the Navigators and moved to Colorado Springs. From there she went to Hong Kong with World Vision as a missionary.

She moved back to Albuquerque where she met and married Robert J. Silver in 1966. They moved with their son to Los Lunas in 1971.
Dottie served on the Los Lunas School Board for ten years and was involved in many other community activities.

She is survived by her husband, Robert; son, Robert, Jr., and his wife, Trina; grandchildren, Aleona Reyes and Thomas Coston; and her brother, William Basile and his wife, Doris of Broomfield, CO.

Services honoring Dottie will be held on Monday, November 28, 2016, with visitation at 9:30 a.m., followed by the service at 10:30 a.m., at FRENCH - University. Interment will take place at Sunset Memorial Park, 924 Menaul Blvd. NE.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to World Vision International or Alzheimer's Association, NM Chapter, or to a charity of your choice.
