Diane Michele Menapace, 72, a lifelong resident of Albuquerque, died Sunday, April 10, 2022.
She is survived by niece, Tina Trujillo and husband, Michael; nephew, Greg Bentz and wife, Irene; niece, Holli Robinson and husband, Bill; niece, Stacy Thompson and husband, Brian; nephew, Edward Bentz; nephew, Brian Menapace and husband, Guy Sears; niece, Jenna Menapace; niece, Valerie Heard and husband, Dan; and niece, Kara Menapace.
Diane was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Amelia (Mildred) Menapace; brother, Arthur Menapace and wife, Lorene; brother, Edward Menapace; sister, Marilyn Bentz and husband, Leon; sister, Marcia Menapace; and brother, Frank Menapace, Jr. and wife, Rosetta.
Diane graduated from The University of New Mexico with a BS in Education and a Master's degree in 1984. She worked as a ward clerk at the VA hospital while going to UNM and continued working for the government after obtaining her degrees. She retired with 38 years Federal Service in August 2008 and continued working as a Federal Contractor until 2015. Diane enjoyed traveling and spending time with her nieces, nephews, and extended family.
The Rosary will be recited on Tuesday, May 3, 2022, 10:30 a.m., Mass will be celebrated at 11:15 a.m., at St. Jude Thaddeus Catholic Church, 5712 Paradise Blvd NW. Interment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Honorary Pallbearers will be Brian Menapace, Guy Sears, Greg Bentz, Brian Thompson, Edward Bentz, and Michael Trujillo.
Should friends desire, memorial contributions may be made to a charity of your choice.
