March 28, 1954 — October 11, 2016
Cathy Valdez, 62, peacefully passed away in her sleep on October 11, 2016, after a courageous battle with cancer. She is now resting with our Savior.
Cathy is preceded in death by her father, Andres Casias; her brother, Richard Casias, and her nephew, David Vigil. She is survived by her husband, Ron Valdez; her daughter, Melissa Apodaca (Steve); two grandchildren, Lauren and Andrew; her mother, Margie Casias; her sisters, Pam Casias, Linda Sena (Jerry), Cindy Wing (Chris), Chrissy Casias; her brother, Pat Casias (Laurie); many nieces and nephews and a large extended family of friends.
Cathy had a generous and loving heart, always remembering birthdays with cards that made us feel special. She touched many hearts in her short time here on Earth and will be greatly missed.
A Rosary will be held Tuesday, October 18, 2016 at 10:15 a.m., followed by a Mass at 11:00 a.m. at St. Jude Thaddeus Catholic Church, 5712 Paradise Blvd. NW, Albuquerque, NM 87114.
