C. Andrew Roginson

Curtis Roginson  (no middle name) was born July 10, 1956, in Los Angeles and spent most of his life
with a view of the Hollywood sign and the theatre etched upon his heart. In Act 1 he attended a private elementary/middle school and, after skipping 5th grade, he
graduated from Arcadia High School in 1973. There, he appeared in productions of The Music Man, The Fantastics and The Miracle Worker, before starring as Wally Webb in Our Town and as Sheridan Whiteside in The Man Who Came to Dinner, the latter earning him regional acclaim. He continued to perform while studying Public Relations at Pepperdine (Malibu campus) and graduated three years later, at the age of 19 (smarty pants). He began his career working for several prominent PR firms and married his college accompanist (from a college production of
The Fantastics) and they had three sons, Ryan, Trevor, and Kyle.
Like so many in theatrical life, the marriage did not last.
Act 2 opened when he changed his name to C Andrew-which was the middle name he always wished his parents had given him. He left public relations to begin a rewarding, long-time career in senior living, healthcare and hospice services.
A diagnosis of diabetes during middle age did not slow him as he earned national sales awards for those efforts. The source of most of his professional pride was earned with the thanks of the people he helped. He was a member of the LA-based Marina Singers and continued acting as a member of community theatre and through the Stella Adler Studio.

He met the love of his life, Jacinto Flores Hernandez, in 2000 and the pair were married in September 2012 (when the Supreme Court let them sigh) and thus began the happiest part of his run, Act 3.
The couple relocated to Albuquerque at the end of 2017 and spent the past five years exploring their new home state, traveling to interesting area locations, and discovering all the creative ways New Mexicans use Hatch chilies. Andrew remained an avid news watcher, story consumer and teller, and he proudly added the role of homemaker and gardener at the couples' lovely home. He also rescued and cared for these beloved cats: Coronel Griggs, Lord Basil, Preston, Miss Ulla, Carlotta Valdez, and Judy Maxwell. His current felines, Lillian Lamber, and Bradley Cooper, already miss him terribly.
A celebration of Andrew's life will be held in Albuquerque on December 12, with musical performances by Barbra Streisand ("Why did I choose you?" and "Happy days are here again") and Juan Gabriel ("Amor eterno").
