Brenda "Little Bird" Nolan

Brenda "Little Bird" Nolan passed peacefully on Friday, September 9, 2016 surrounded by her beloved family. She was born in Salt Lake City, UT to John and Pearl Lewis on March 17, 1963. She was raised on the Torreon Reservation in northern New Mexico with her four siblings, Andrew, Ronald, John, and Deborah. Brenda graduated from Cuba High School. She was an avid athlete and loved to play volleyball. She held an Associates Degree in Health Information Technology from Central New Mexico Community College. She loved working in the UNMH Operating Room as a surgical technician for many years. She loved cooking, listening to music, and dancing the night away with her best friends. Most of all, she loved being a mom. She not only raised her own children but also gave her life and love to her nieces and nephews.
Brenda was preceded in death by her father, John Lewis, Sr.; and brother, John Lewis, Jr. She is survived by her mother, Pearl; son, Warren; daughter, Tara and husband, Sean; and niece, Yelena.
A Life Celebration will be held on Wednesday, September 14, 2016 at 6 o'clock p.m. at FRENCH - Lomas. A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, September 15, 2016 at 10 o'clock a.m. at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Haines Ward. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park.
