Betty Jo Bitner

Betty Jo Bitner, USN, 86, a native New Mexican, died Saturday, September 17, 2016. She is survived by her children; son, Dr. Daniel Martin Bitner of San Antonio, TX; daughter, Mary Jo Mondloch and husband, Brian of Albuquerque, NM; grandchildren, Sgt. Aaron Mondloch, USMC, Danielle Bitner, Andrew Bitner, of San Antonio, TX and Timothy Mondloch of Albuquerque, NM; sister-in - laws Sondra Black and Rozella Lopez; and numerous nieces and nephews. Mrs. Bitner was a member of the Sangre de Christo Catholic Community. She was a graduate of Loretto Academy in Santa Fe, and Loretto College in Colorado. She was a Navy nurse. She also worked as a nurse at St. Vincent's Hospital in Santa Fe, Memorial Hospital and St. Joseph's Hospital in Albuquerque. A Visitation will be held Wednesday, September 21, 2016, 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. at FRENCH - Lomas. Funeral Service will be Thursday, September 22, 2016, 10:00 a.m. at FRENCH - Lomas. Interment will follow at Santa Fe National Cemetery. Pallbearers will include, Stephen Black, Benjamin Thurston, Edward Lopez Jr., Sgt. Aaron Mondloch, Timothy Mondloch and Andrew Bitner. Honorary Pallbearers will be William O'Mara, David Black, Dave Northrup, and Stan Lane.
