Lupe Angela Chavez, 77, beloved mother, mother-in-law, daughter, and grandmother, was called to her eternal resting place on Tuesday, April 4, 2023. She entered this world on December 29, 1945, in Ely, Nevada, born to Juan and Daisy Chavez. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Natalie Pacifico; mother, Daisy Chavez; and father, Juan Chavez. She is survived by her son, Alfonso Montoya; daughter-in-law, Denise Montoya; grandson, Michael Pacifico; sister, Vivian Tafoya; brother, David Chavez; and many nieces and nephews.
Angie will be remembered most for her love of life, kindness, generosity, and for her strength and perseverance. One of the mantras that she lived by was "One day at a time." She will be dearly missed by her family and friends.
A Memorial Rosary will be held on Saturday, April 22, 2023, 10:00 a.m., followed by a Memorial Mass at 10:30 a.m., at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, 1502 Sara Rd., Rio Rancho, New Mexico. Lunch will be served at the Montoya's home. A burial to place her to rest will be held on Monday, April 24, 2023, 10:00 a.m., at Santa Fe Memorial Gardens, 417 East Rodeo Road, Santa Fe, New Mexico.
