Yasuko “Betty” Watanabe Krim, 89, our family matriarch and beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and wonderful friend to everyone she met, shed her earthly bounds on Tuesday, December 11, 2018 to join her husband Frank in the ever after. Betty was known for her amazing giving spirit and for having the ability to light up any room she walked into. She loved spending time with her family, especially her three grandchildren – Adam, Tiffany, and Emily and great-grandchildren, Fabian, Hadley and Valor. She loved playing golf and feeding her family and friends with some of the most amazing dishes that she learned to cook from around the world.
She is survived by her children, Paul Francis and his wife Stacy, Marie Catherine and Joseph Michael; and her grandchildren, Adam, Tiffany, and Emily and great-grandchildren, Fabian, Hadley and Valor. Betty was preceded in death by her father, Yonezo Watanabe and mother, Kimie Kaneko.
A “Celebration of Life” ceremony will be held at 12:00 PM, Wednesday, December 19, 2018, 12:00 p.m., at FRENCH – Wyoming in Albuquerque. Interment will follow at the Santa Fe National Cemetery, 501 N Guadalupe St, Santa Fe, New Mexico 87501.
