Worth French, 87, died September 8, 2017.
He is survived by his wife of 64 years Verlie; his children, Quincy Wallace and wife, Callie, Kirk French and wife, Carrie and Stacie French; grandchildren, Austin French, Wykia Wallace, Quinten Wallace, Jamian Jackson; his siblings, Evelyn French-Tucker, Nadine French, Tommy Joe French, and Teresa French-Gandy; and many other family and friends. Worth was preceded in death by his parents, Pete and Beatrice French; his siblings, Napoleon French, Adolphus French, Pete French Jr., Virgil French, Melvin French, Willie Charles French, Billie Ruth Clay, Zelda Powell; and one uncle, Otho Henry. Mr. French served was in the United States Army, received two purple hearts and was honorably discharged after the Korean War. He also served in the Bernalillo County Sheriffs' Dept, retiring after 49 years as Chief Deputy. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather and will be dearly missed.
Friends may visit Wednesday, September 20, 2017, 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at FRENCH – Lomas. Funeral Service will be Thursday, September 21, 2017, 10:00 a.m. at New Covenant Church, 7201 Paseo Del Norte Blvd NE, Albuquerque, NM 87113 with burial to follow at Santa Fe National Cemetery.
