Willie Wilson

Age 83, a resident of Albuquerque, NM since 1972, passed June 10th, 2013. He is survived by his children Tina Romero and her husband Charlie, Toni Burgess and her husband Michael, and Traci Wilson who all also reside in Albuquerque; grandchildren Jessie, Doug, Rachel, Megan and husband Rob; great-grandchildren Karissa, Alexandra, Tyler and McKayla who all reside in Albuquerque as well. Mr. Wilson was preceded in death by his father Willie C. Wilson Sr. and his mother Meridian Traywick. He will be missed and remembered as a loving patriarch, courageous war veteran and a generous, selfless man. Mr. Wilson served in the US Air Force from 1951 to 1971 and retired as a Major. After his military retirement, he had a career in bio-medical engineering and he earned a Master's Degree from New Mexico Highlands. Services will be held on Friday, June 14, 2013 at 1:00 pm at FRENCH - University. A reception will follow at Albuquerque Country Club, 601 Laguna Blvd. SW. A private interment with full military honors will be held on Monday at the Santa Fe National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the UNM Childrens Hospital at 2211 Lomas Blvd NE, Albuquerque, NM 87106.
