William Peter Walker

September 19, 1919 — March 22, 2014

WALKER, WILLIAM PETER Age 94, a resident of Albuquerque, passed away Saturday, March 22, 2014. Uncle Pete served with the Navy during WWII. He was a graduate of UNM and studied art in Paris and Japan. He founded the New Mexico Watercolor Society in 1969 and served as its first president. Currently he was still teaching art at the Los Volcanes Senior Center where he will truly be missed. His art is exhibited all over New Mexico. He is survived by nieces and nephews, Linda Giesler, Dianna Torres, Debbie Shafer, Dan Walker, Tom Stickler, Karen Yops, and Johnnie Sue Sizemore and numerous other extended family.
