Bill was born is Chester, PA in 1951. In 1969 he graduated from Avon Grove High School in West Grove, PA where he was senior class president. He held a degree in engineering from the University of New Mexico.
Bill’s calling was electrical engineering. He worked on many major engineering projects, both as an independent consultant and an employee of the University of New Mexico (UNM). His proudest accomplishment was overseeing the construction of the electrical cogeneration plant at UNM.
Wild Bill, as he liked to call himself, inherited his love of the Philadelphia Phillies from his parents. His love of the UNM Lobos grew with his love of all things New Mexico. Throughout his life, Bill developed friends from all walks of life. A stroke in 2001 slowed Bill significantly but it did nothing to diminish his love of life.
A service for friends and fellow residents was held at the Albuquerque Grand on April 25, 2017. The family will hold a memorial service for Bill in his hometown of New London, PA sometime in the future.
In lieu of flowers, Bill would have appreciated being remembered through contributions to the New London Methodist Church, c/o Paula Lucas, 8 Fawns Path, Lincoln University, PA 19352.
