William Evart "Bill" Rogers

Bill Rogers, 92, a resident of Albuquerque since 1958, died January 30, 2014. He is survived by his wife of 73 wonderful years, Beatrice Rogers; children, Lucille Martindale of Brandon, FL; Linda Rogers of Albuquerque; and Richard Rogers and wife Carol of Montrose, CO; special friend, Beth Williams of Albuquerque; five grandchildren, Michelle (Greg) Kukwa of Valrico, FL; Laura (Mike) Antley of Monroe, LA; Timothy (Jenny) Rogers, Rachel (David) Walker, and Rebekah (Luke) Alston, all of Oklahoma City, OK; and nine great-grandchildren, Olivia Higgs, Garrett Antley, Quinton, Weston, Brenton, Peighton, and Kerston Rogers; and Aries Rogers and Orion Alston. Mr. Rogers was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Glenna (Petteys) Rogers; and a brother, Leonard. A member of the Army Air Corps during World War II, he served in Cairo, Egypt, and Oran, Algiers, as an airplane instrument specialist. He was a member of Netherwood Park church of Christ. Services will be held Tuesday, February 4, 2014, at 11:00 a.m. at FRENCH - Wyoming. Interment will follow at Vista Verde Cemetery.
