William "Bill" Riggan

William "Bill" Riggan, 82, died July 19, 2016. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Leora; his daughters, Karen Anderson and husband, Kevin, Kim Morgan and husband, Stan Hutchinson and Susan Boyd and husband, Curt; six grandchildren; and four great grandchildren; and many other family and friends. Bill and Leora met at Idaho State University, married and came to Albuquerque in 1955 where he began working for Sandia National Labs retiring after 37 years. Bill was recognized for his accomplishments and was responsible for several patents. He cared about the environment by cycling to work everyday for 25 years. Bill loved to read and was a avid collector of good books. His sense of humor was enjoyed by all that met or knew him. Most of all he loved his family, was a devoted husband and caring father and grandfather. Private family memorial services will be held at a later date.
