William "Bill" Reid

William "Bill" Reid, age 74, of Albuquerque, went to be with his Lord, Thursday, October 17, 2013. He is survived by Gayla, his wife of 53 years; daughters, Lisa Dettweiler and husband Eric and Lesley Botz and husband Jeff; grandchildren, Brody Botz, Brooklyn Botz, and Slaton Dettweiler; brothers, David Reid and wife Nola, Scott Reid and wife Sue; sister, Marcia Martin; step-mother, Virginia Reid; and numerous nieces and nephews. Bill was preceded in death by his daughter, Rochelle Reid; father, William Reid; and mother, Ruth Reid. He was a well loved teacher and administrator with APS for 27 years. After retirement from APS, Bill served as the administrative pastor with Desert Springs Church, while also serving as a leader in Bible Study Fellowship. He attended UNM on a baseball and basketball scholarship. Bill loved and dedicated his life to his family. His quick wit and lively sense of humor will be greatly missed. Services will be held on Monday, October 21, 2013, 11:00 a.m., at Desert Springs Church, 705 Osuna Rd NE. Private interment will take place.
