William Roy Morris

William Roy Morris DDS, "Bill", 87, passed away quietly Thursday, June 30, 2016. He is survived by his wife, Shirley, who enjoyed 64 years of marital bliss; two children, Bill Morris and Jennifer Morris; five grandchildren, William, Greg, Jenny Morris, Heather Thrower and Jamie Bou Abboud; and eight great- grandchildren, Will, Kenneth, Kia and Juliana Morris, Raiden, Tyr and Arawn Thrower, and Micho Bou Abboud.
Bill was originally from Kansas City, MO and moved to New Mexico in September 1958, where he was a dentist in the Albuquerque and New Mexico area, for about thirty years. He graduated with Honors from MU, Columbia, MO in June 1951. He served in the USMC during WWII and in the Army Dental Corp from 1950 - 1951. He had both his pilots and balloon license and loved to fly, especially in the blue skies of New Mexico. His warm smile, laughter and wit will be sorely missed by all.
A viewing will be held Wednesday, July 6, 2016 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at FRENCH - Rio Rancho. Interment will take place Thursday, July 7, 2016 at 2:15 p.m. at Santa Fe National Cemetery, 501 N. Guadalupe St. Santa Fe, NM.
