William J. Morgan

William Jay Morgan (Bill), 88 of Albuquerque New Mexico, peacefully went to heaven on Wednesday, October 31, 2018.  He was born on December 15, 1929 in Huntington, West Virginia to Fred and Mabel (Gill) Morgan.  He graduated from Huntington High School and married his college sweetheart, Dorothy Clay in August of 1951.  Bill received his Bachelor’s degree from Kentucky Christian College, his Master’s degree from University of Texas at El Paso and his Doctorate from Hope International University. Bill’s life was spent serving others as a pastor, missionary, and college professor.  Bill & Dorothy served in ministry for over 65 years in West Virginia, Ohio, Virginia, Texas, Guadalajara (Mexico), Scotland and most recently at Valley Christian Church in Albuquerque, NM.  He was preceded in death by his son, Dennis Morgan, his parents, his brothers, and many other family members.  He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Dorothy Clay Morgan, his son, William David Morgan (Pam) of Albuquerque, New Mexico and his daughter, Beverly Haak (John) of Houston, Texas.  Seven grandchildren,  Kami Pope, Kassi Walker (Bobby), Ashley Wills (Nate), Nick Green (Sara), Jay Haak (Karissa), Adam Green and Micah Morgan.  Nine great-grandchildren,  Cole Pope, Dominic Green, Hudson Haak, Audrey Green, Hadley Haak, Kenton Walker, Rhett Walker, Lincoln Wills, and Harper Haak.

A Memorial Service celebrating Bill’s life and God’s promises will be held on Saturday, December 15, 2018 at Valley Christian Church.  Please call the church office for details and time of service at 505.877.5500.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Valley Christian Church, 2850 Gun Club Road SW, Albuquerque, NM 87105 or Spanish American Evangelistic Ministries, 650 Linwood Drive, El Paso, TX 79928.
