Age 88, passed away on Thursday, September 13, 2012. He is survived by wife, Geraldine Mlynek of Albuquerque, NM; son, Brian Mlynek of Albuquerque; daughter, Laurie Vogel and husband Joe Demkovich of Albuquerque; sister, Jean Shersmith of St. Joseph, MI, brother-in-law, Bob Kasper and wife Marilyn of Mansfield, OH. Bill was preceded in death by his parents, John Charles and Agnes Mlynek. He was a member of Sigma Chi Fraternity, graduating from the University of Montana in 1948. His original occupation was that of a forester in Montana. And in later years, he worked as a forester with Duke City Lumber in Albuquerque, and then became employed as a stockbroker with Quinn and Company in Albuquerque. He stepped forward in WWII, serving as a Lieutenant in the US Marine Corps, recalled to active duty in the Korean Conflict. Cremation has taken place, and by his request, no public memorial services will be held.
